Marina Bay Sands, located on the Marina Bay waterfront, is a 38 acre mixed-use integrated resort. Landscape occupies nearly 30 acres, 75% of which is public space and almost all of which is on structure.
The project includes a half mile long public waterfront promenade, a garden at the base of the hotel, streetscapes which set the vision for the entire district, a public rooftop promenade, a 1,000-meter-long landscaped bridge, and a 2.5-acre Skypark which spans the roofs of three hotel towers on the 57th floor and offers views of downtown Singapore. The Skypark, a surprising garden in the sky, features a swimming pool with an infinity edge, garden rooms of lush plantings and mature trees, a public viewing deck, and three restaurants.
Julie completed this project while at PWP Landscape Architecture. Julie led the day to day collaboration with the design team and followed the project from start to finish.
